Sporterized 1903 Springfield 30-06 cal , Description: Sporterized 1903 Springfield 30-06 cal , 24 inch barrel, bolt action dark blueing, hand crafted deluxe (Weatherby like design) customized hand carved Fagen stock, fiberglass bedding, etc.: “Stump Crotch Curl, ” with rosewood and maple spacers Walnut wood stock with cheek piece. Lacquer can be removed to restore beautiful hand sanded and rubbed oil finish: combination, linspeed, linseed and sperm oil. Metal sights and swivel strap posts also installed. Purchased from the Lincoln Mint around 1962. Army surplus, brand new packed in Cosmoline. Barrel-action , polished, blued and jeweled. Military sights removed, and barrel shortened to a length of 24 inches. Quality can be likened to Weatherby and or Remington “Olympic Grade Models” in appearance, workmanship and balance of that era. Condition excellent with the exception of a few minor surface scratches. No more than a box of shells were fired and never used in the field. Serial number:331XXXX $775.00.
