COLT .45 AUTO World War II 1911 barrel Description: World War II 1911 Stamped with a Gothic “COLT .45 AUTO” (SEE FIGURE BELOW) marking on the chamber area, along the axis of the barrel, at about 7:30 O’clock, when the barrel is viewed from the rear, with the lug down. A “P” mark will be applied to the left lug. These barrels are blued with a semi-matte semi-reflective finish. Clawson mentions “Top of barrel chamber bright unfinished, the same as commercial barrels. barrel. Left side of lugs has P proof and is stamped "n over G" on bottom of the barrel identifying it as a U.S. Government contract production model produced somewhere between 1937 - 1943 .....Barrel has good rifling there is slight pitting inside the barrel but not bad.... Buyer pays actual shipping..... below up close is an example of how this barrel is stamped exactly.... no pay pal....
